Tech FIJI's Earn Top Spot in Scholarship
        Lambda Tau Chapter made the highest grades among all 22 fraternities at Texas Tech in the Spring Semester of 2006. The 110 actives and 5 pledges made a 3.0767 grade point average and was the only fraternity chapter at Tech to achieve a 3.0 GPA or better. The Fiji's exceeded the All-University GPA of 2.904, the All-Greek GPA of 2.957, the All-Men's GPA of 2.773, and the All-Fraternity GPA of 2.770. The Chapter ranked 10th out of the 44 Greek fraternities and sororities at Tech. Over 50% of the Chapter made a 3.0 GPA or better, including 11 men with perfect 4.0 grades made on the required case load of at least 12 semester hours. Trevor Willis was the high pledge with a 3.077 GPA. There were 59 men who qualified for scholarships from the Jerry S. Rawls Foundation by earning 3.0 GPA or better and otherwise qualifying. The scholarships will be presented at the Joe Ray Goodin Scholarship Banquet scheduled for 6:30 PM on September 13, 2006, at the Merket Alumni Center. Lambda Tau has now exceeded the 3.0 GPA level for several straight semesters and has continued to earn Tech IFC and International recognition for its scholarship program,
