 Fiji Sage Thames was awarded a $7,500 post-graduate scholarship by the NCAA Post Graduate Committee. He is one of 58 students to receive this scholarship, and only one of the three from the Big XII. Thames is a senior poll vaulter for the Red Raiders. He also received All-American honors at the 2006 NCAA Outdoor Championships and was also selected to the Big XII All-Conference team at the conference Indoor Championships. That was Thames fifth All-Conference selection. His personal best in the poll vault came at the 2004 NCAA Nationals, with a vault of 18' - 0.5".
